Updating Corbacraft to 1.13

    Greetings Corbacrafters!
    1.13 is finally among us and it is almost time to update the server. I will keep this short and brief as we all want to play more then we want to type. :p

    Updating Release Date: Currently there is no set release date. We anticipate a full release to happen in the next 2-3 days. Right now it is out of our hands as we are waiting for the Spigot devs to get it finished.

    For Now: For now you can connect to the server using either 1.13 or 1.12 as we do have compatibility for both. When entirely updated to 1.13 we will have a big green thing about this post announcing it. Until then mine on Corbacrafters.

    Finally 1.13, Now living underwater will be far easier, maybe underwater towns could be made... wait... Do I hear a UC 5.0 comin along? :>

    Will there be an Announcement explaining how the Survival Servers will transition between Updates? I'm still very confuzzled on how it will finnction on Sophus, and I'm sure other Players could use some clarification too. Thanks!

    How it was announced with both Lothar and Sophus, a new world will be added which is completely 1.13

    So you will have the currentworld and the new world, separate worlds from eachother, on the same server. So with worlds it will be something like the mineworld was, separate from eachother.


    And with Sophus, if you reset your personal world after the server is in 1.13, the new personal world will be in 1.13 as well

    @Aylin
    Will you be able to play on 1.13 for both Servers/Worlds?
    And will your items and/or builds be transferable between the worlds?
    I'm also curious if we can transfer 1.13 items over to the pre-existing world, since all of my items are there.

    Items: yes, builds: no.

    The worlds would exist next to eachother, like a regular world and a mineworld. But we will not be moving builds between the worlds. You will be able to play in 1.13 in both worlds, with the difference that in the new world, generated 1.13 stuff will exist

    So e be able to bring over blocks like Coral, Sea Pickles from the 1.13 World to Sophus?
    Also, will mobs like Turtles and Phantoms spawn on Sophus?

    I havent checked 1.13 out yet so I can't say it for sure.

    But if coral, sea pickles and such are blocks that you can pick up and place, then you will also be able to place them in the old world. They just won't generate in chunks that were generated in 1.12 already.

    With the mobs: if they are only there in generation like illagers and shulkers, they won't spawn in the old world. If they spawn like normal passive/aggressive mobs, they'll spawb in the old world

    It is mostly: everything is 1.13, but the new world will get the generated 1.13 stuff while the old world only has what players bring there or what can spawn. The old world is 1.13, but the chunks were generated in 1.12 so they can't generate over

    Ok, thank you! So tell me if I've got this straight:
    Newly generated chunks in the Old World will have 1.13 content, such as shipwrecks and reefs, but previously generated chunks will not?

    I mean a new UC would be great but I'm not exactly sure it would be a good idea, UC pretty much died out last time and I feel like it would be a waste of time and resources. But If you want to continue the project I will help you

    What does UC stand for. I know it’s a city that nightshade built on Philia btw I was there.

    The server currently is waiting for the plugins too update. CorbaCraft itself will remain in 1.12 until our plugins are able to be updated too 1.13 so we can give our players the best experience as possible.
